The X Files are unsolved FBI cases which usually deal with paranormal/strange phenomena. These cases were brought to the attention of Special Agent Fox Mulder, who was immediately interested in solving these cases because of an unusual event that occured in his past, the abduction of his sister Samantha, by extraterrestrial biological entities. After beginning work on the x-files, he was assigned a partner, Special Agent Dana Scully. Scully was very skeptical and looked to find a plausible explanation in all that Mulder found. She was brought in basically to invalidate his findings. Orders to hire Agent Scully came from a group of men called the syndicate who will do anything to cover the truth. Agent Scully and Agent Mulder follow the orders of Assistant Director Walter Skinner, who is their direct superior. Some of their cases have turned up such things as aliens, conspiracies, UFO's, and many other acts of paranormal phenomena.

The X Files, now in it's 6th season is better than ever. To many x-philes, the x-files is not only a tv series, but also a lifestyle. The X Files is a huge hit and now has everything from shirts to watches to coffee mugs sporting it's logo and other key sayings.

In the Summer of 1998,The X Files: Fight The Future was released in theaters. It was a huge sucess bringing fans and new faces into The X Files frenzy. Is it the actors and actresses that make it the success that it is, or is it the story lines? Who knows, maybe it's just one big conspiracy. I can't answer that, I'm not sure anyone else could claim to either. But I do know that it's a huge success.
